Kiwanis Radio Week on Mountain Communications Stations

The Kiwanis Club of Lake Placid’s Radio Week will run its 8th annual Sponsorship Week from Sunday, September 18th, to Sunday, September 25th on ROCK105 and WNBZ.

The Kiwanis Club of Lake Placid is in it's 85th year of service to the Lake Placid Community and its youth and Radio Week greatly helps Kiwanis raise funds to sustain, support and expand their mission: Help Change The World One Child One Community at a Time, through programs like these:

	- Annual Teddy Bear Picnic for preschool - 3rd grade
	- Monthly Citizenship Awards to St. Agnes & LPES Students
	- Annual Student Recognition & Award Dinner
	- Holiday Plants for Shut-ins and Gifts for Uihlein Residents
	- Toys for Tots, North Elba Fund, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts
	- Assist in Food Drives & Volunteer at The Ecumenical Food Pantry
	- Service Clubs in our Schools—Key Club & Builders Club
	- Assistance with The Lake Placid Police Department’s Bike Rodeo & Halloween Party
	- Bobby Preston Memorial Blood Drive in conjunction with The American Red Cross
	- Kamp Kiwanis—a summer camp for handicapped & disadvantaged children
	- Sponsor of The Shipman Youth Center and Annual I Love BBQ Festival
	- Sponsor of Child Literacy & Mentoring Programs & Dictionary Project for all LP 3rd Graders
